Big Bend

I arrived at Big Bend National Park Cottonwood Campground in the dark. Fabulous sky! Looking up the Milky Way was sparkling in all its glory. The Park earned an award for their efforts against light pollution.

Grand scenery in every direction.

These two photos are from an early ranch where figs and pecans were grown.

I could see all around from this overlook. To the right was Mexico and great cliffs across the Rio Grande. To the left (this photo), the USA. The wind blew briskly and snow was predicted.

Snow arrived, but not at my Big Bend campground. My daughter sent this photo of where they were staying in Colorado!
