We heard about a Saturday afternoon Mardi Gras parade in the neighboring small town of Vinton so we went to this charming and nostalgic event.
These kids were across the street having the time of their lives.
The Queen arrives on a fire truck.
. . . and her entourage.
. . . and more entourage. They probably had to move that recliner back inside after the parade.
Everyone in the parade was throwing multi-colored necklaces, red plastic crawdads, bubblegum and jawbreakers at the parade-watchers.
The parade lasted about ten minutes and we sure had a good time.
