Kentuck Knob
Kentucky Knob is another FLW designed Usonian home a few miles from Fallingwater.
The signature detail is in the skylights on the porch.
Beautiful rock work from local sources abounds.
The kitchen was so inviting.
The house is built into a hillside.
Spectacular scenery of three states a short walk from the house includes Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
The house was built on the Hagen ice cream fortune.
The current owner made a sculpture garden.
Red Army by Ray Smith (1945-), British, painted steel.
King George V Telephone kiosks 1935 cast iron and glass.
Apple core (1990) by Claes Oldenburg (1929-) American, stainless steel, urethane foam, urethane hardcoat.
Bird houses, Pennsylvania style.
Berlin Wall Section (1961-1989) East German, reinforced concrete.
Just a nice British-made Morris Traveler in the parking lot!
I can see how settlers fell in love with this area.

The hexagon shapes of sunlight coming through the skylights that light the pathway are incredible! So is the view. Hagen, as in the ice cream? xo
